Emmitt’s Tree Services started three years ago with a simple commitment: honour a late father’s memory by never letting anyone get taken advantage of.

What began as that promise has grown into something unique in Nova Scotia. After learning forestry techniques from an uncle involved in Pre-Commercial Thinning and getting formal training in arboriculture, a gap became clear: property owners were stuck between basic tree services and large forestry companies. Half-acre to one-acre properties needed someone who could think like both an arborist and a forester.

That’s where we fit. Every job considers water flow, fire safety, soil health, and long-term property impact. From emergency tree removal to stump grinding and routine tree trimming, we handle every aspect of property land management. We’ve turned down profitable work when it couldn’t be done safely. We refer power line work to specialists because that’s outside our expertise. During fire bans, while others guessed about regulations, we got the actual paperwork from government offices.
